I don’t have ADHD and yet this is exactly what I needed. I have CPTSD and I’m still unlearning a lot of disordered eating patterns from childhood, so interoception and remembering to eat, and eating when I’m anxious are still hard. These are great tips!
i can’t thank you enough for this. on top of everything you describe here, i have had an issue since childhood where i become nauseated when stressed or anxious. i’m vegetarian so this is common around food for me.

add in that i have had an atrocious run in with the “behavioral health” industrial complex (which is full of neurodivergent inmates who are just inconvenient for their families). while trapped and forcibly medicated with horrifying drugs, i was denied vegetarian food by more than one staff member. i didn’t eat anything for days and it seriously fucked up my already poor relationship with food for years. i still have a stockpile of baby food pouches which were often the only thing i could eat during my recovery from that hellscape.
i really appreciate the reminder that none of this is my fault. 💚
