This is going to change my life, thank you so much! I struggle with this CONSTANTLY.

Do you have resources you could point me to about the 4D strategy? I feel like I'm not sure how to implement it, even after rereading the article.

Thanks so much!

Yes, I’m also not sure how to implement the 4D filter and would appreciate more information on how to apply it with some real life examples.

Hi Bug, πŸ‘‹

Thx for bringing it up πŸ™, I will look it on it and make another piece on the 4 D, to explain it more in detail. Expect a part II! ✌️

One thing I could say to this, the D relates to ADHD time management:

πŸ•°οΈ NOW & NOT NOW βœ… Should, Could prioritization

…things we ADHD’ers struggle with πŸ’‘.

…

✨ Start with what you WANT? 🧘 Stand still and check what your INTENTION is. ❓ WHY do you WANT to do this? (short term, mid term, long term goal) πŸ”„ What CHANGE will it bring in your life if you do it? πŸ’Ž Look for the VALUE it will give you!

πŸ‘‰ This will start to REDUCE FRICTION.

🚧 Identify the OBSTACLES stopping you, then focus and ELIMINATE them. ❌ Forget perfection. 🎯 Use the Good Enough Rule = 20/80 Rule.

(By the way, Steve Jobs 🍏 had ADHD as you know β€” and he was amazingly good at this!)

..

πŸ”‘ Focus on the items that have REAL IMPACT & VALUE in your life.

To analyse your IMPACT, ask yourself these simple questions every time you fill in your TO-DO list πŸ“:

WHAT? ➑️ What is the thing you want to do?

WHY? ➑️ Intention? Achievement? Result? Value? (This fuels πŸ”‹ motivation & daily dopamine πŸ’₯)

WHO? ➑️ What role do you play? (Job πŸ‘©β€πŸ’», spouse πŸ’•, parent πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§, health πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈβ€¦)

HOW? ➑️ Process? Steps? Needs? Obstacles 🚧? Rules? Collaborators πŸ‘₯? (This can feel overwhelming 😡)

πŸ’‘ Tip: JUST START πŸš€ Break it down βž—, take the first easiest step, and let momentum carry you forward.

WHEN? πŸ—“οΈ Prepare, plan, schedule β€” and START when the time comes.

WHERE? πŸ“ Choose your place, visualize it 🧠 and use mental rehearsal.

πŸ˜… And when you get distracted? πŸ‘‰ Use ADHD Power Prompts ⚑ and return to your IMPACT.

…

See link below on ADHD POWER PROMPTS for more πŸ”—

Hope it helps πŸ™Œ

I am currently overwhelmed by 10 projects that my brain says are all urgent, and I’m paralyzed as a result. Will apply these approaches. Much gratitude to you for this.

OMG! I got to read this at a perfect time today! I have 3 urgent tasks I have been procrastinating for months because they were not important and not urgent, but now they are, since they are overdue! 😲😲 I have a body doubling session set up today already with my adult ADHD daughter, so I am going to do these today. Thank youπŸ’ŒπŸ™ so much for your timely writing on just what I needed to hear! As usual your words and compassion for us ADHDers ❀️ helps me feel less guilt as well!πŸ’šπŸ’™πŸ©΅

I’m working on a project for an event today. Yesterday I realized that DONE was way more important than perfect.

I could have allowed myself to dive into font and graphic choices, but I could easily get lost there, so I kept telling myself DONE is close at hand.

Last night a number of people praised and appreciated my work as I shared it.

They didn’t notice all the β€œcould be better” that I did β€” they noticed something they could hold and use.

I haven’t done a complete brain dump lately, so thanks for the reminder.

I love your quote that:

"that DONE was way more important than perfect"

That is really powerful!
