Thx for bringing it up π, I will look it on it and make another piece on the 4 D, to explain it more in detail. Expect a part II! βοΈ
One thing I could say to this, the D relates to ADHD time management:
π°οΈ NOW & NOT NOW β Should, Could prioritization
β¦things we ADHDβers struggle with π‘.
β¦
β¨ Start with what you WANT? π§ Stand still and check what your INTENTION is. β WHY do you WANT to do this? (short term, mid term, long term goal) π What CHANGE will it bring in your life if you do it? π Look for the VALUE it will give you!
π This will start to REDUCE FRICTION.
π§ Identify the OBSTACLES stopping you, then focus and ELIMINATE them. β Forget perfection. π― Use the Good Enough Rule = 20/80 Rule.
(By the way, Steve Jobs π had ADHD as you know β and he was amazingly good at this!)
..
π Focus on the items that have REAL IMPACT & VALUE in your life.
To analyse your IMPACT, ask yourself these simple questions every time you fill in your TO-DO list π:
I am currently overwhelmed by 10 projects that my brain says are all urgent, and Iβm paralyzed as a result. Will apply these approaches. Much gratitude to you for this.
This is going to change my life, thank you so much! I struggle with this CONSTANTLY.
Do you have resources you could point me to about the 4D strategy? I feel like I'm not sure how to implement it, even after rereading the article.
Thanks so much!
Yes, Iβm also not sure how to implement the 4D filter and would appreciate more information on how to apply it with some real life examples.
Hi Bug, π

This was extremely useful, thank you!
OMG! I got to read this at a perfect time today! I have 3 urgent tasks I have been procrastinating for months because they were not important and not urgent, but now they are, since they are overdue! π²π² I have a body doubling session set up today already with my adult ADHD daughter, so I am going to do these today. Thank youππ so much for your timely writing on just what I needed to hear! As usual your words and compassion for us ADHDers β€οΈ helps me feel less guilt as well!πππ©΅
I'm really glad to hear that this helps you out.
As you, more on the way π
Iβm working on a project for an event today. Yesterday I realized that DONE was way more important than perfect.
I could have allowed myself to dive into font and graphic choices, but I could easily get lost there, so I kept telling myself DONE is close at hand.
Last night a number of people praised and appreciated my work as I shared it.
They didnβt notice all the βcould be betterβ that I did β they noticed something they could hold and use.
I havenβt done a complete brain dump lately, so thanks for the reminder.
I love your quote that:
"that DONE was way more important than perfect"
That is really powerful!
